What We Accept:

· Visual Art: Painting, illustration, photography, mixed media, digital art

· Creative Writing: Short stories, poetry, creative nonfiction, excerpts from memoirs or artist biographies

· Visual Storytelling: Graphic novel excerpts, illustrated narratives, experimental formats

· Art Books and Special Projects: Proposals for completed or in-progress projects

Submission Requirements:

· Visual Art:

o Submit 3–10 high-resolution images (.JPG or .PNG files preferred, 300dpi)

o Include artwork titles, dimensions, medium, and a brief artist statement (150–300 words)

· Writing:

o Submit 1–3 pieces, no more than 5,000 words each (Word doc or PDF format)

o Include a brief cover letter or artist’s/writer’s bio (100–250 words)

· Book Proposals / Special Projects:

o Submit a project description (1–2 pages) outlining your idea, audience, and vision

o Include sample pages or sample artwork when possible

How to Submit:

· Email your submission to submissions@themainartery.com with the subject line: Submission – [Your Name]

· Please include all files as attachments or share a downloadable link (no file-sharing services that require accounts, please)

Important Notes:

· Submissions must be original work created by the submitter.

· We accept previously published work only if you retain the rights and disclose prior publication.

· By submitting, you grant The Main ARTery permission to publish your work in print, online, or in future projects, with full credit to you.
